Discover the Top 5 Signature Dishes at Alings Chinese Bistro

Many people who visit Alings aren’t sure what to order or to expect at first. Our Indo-Chinese restaurant is different than many of the Chinese restaurants you’ll experience in Sugar Land!

Fortunately, our regulars haven’t been shy about sharing their favorites, and our chef has plenty of recommendations. Here are five things to try when you visit us!

#1) Chicken Lollipops

This appetizer is the #1 request we get for table shareables at Alings’. Who doesn’t love kicking off their meal with bold flavors? These succulent, slow-fried drumettes get marinated for hours before we serve them up with our in-house tangy, sweet, and spicy sauce.

They’re a true treat worthy of the candied name, we promise.

#2) Manchurian Beef

Manchurian sauce is an Indo-Chinese staple, and you’ll love ours. We pre-marinate the beef for maximum flavor, then whip it up in our house Manchurian sauce, serving it up hot.

Manchurian sauce is unique because it begins with the basic ingredients of an Indian sauce (chopped garlic, ginger, and green chilis) but uses soy sauce instead of garam masala. The resulting gravy has been an Indo-Chinese favorite for a long time, and once you try it you’ll know why.

#3) Blazing Sizzlers

Our Meeri Meeri Sizzlers are actually our signature dish—our own in-house, grand creation. If you’re the type of person who wants to see what a chef can do, this dish is for you.

This wholesome hot plate of stir-fried vegetables is served up hot with steak fries on a bed of jasmine rice. We season it with our in-house Peppercorn sauce on a blazing hot plate. You can choose the vegetarian version, or you can add chicken, beef, or shrimp.

Bring your appetite because there’s a lot of food on a Meeri Meeri plate!

#4) Chili Shrimp

Choose it dry, or choose it with gravy. Either way, you’re going to love the bold flavors of our chili shrimp.

We stir fry it with hot green chilis so it offers a blazing burst of unforgettable flavor. We also cook it up with garlic and onions in a soy-based sauce and garnish it with chopped cilantro. This dish is unforgettable if you’re craving seafood.

#5) Paneer 88

If you love the power of Paneer to create incredible vegetarian dishes, then you’re going to love Paneer 88. It’s prepped in our in-house marinade and then tossed with onions, bell peppers, garlic, and cilantro.

The bold, spicy flavors are out of this world, and we garnish them with fresh lime and lemon. Add basmati rice, and you’ll really fall in love.
